And now I know that I am getting old...

So I woke up this morning, got my coffee started, warmed up the coffee cake to go with said coffee and sat down for a (semi)relaxing morning. When the music started. Every weekend (when its warm) the across the street neighbors hang out outside and crank the music. Loud. And they listen to rap, so it rattles the windows. So much for my relaxing morning.

Anyway...
I thought that i would tell you what I have on the needles. (Mainly because I have a huge case of starteritis.)

  1. T's Sweater of Doom-  So I tried it on him the other day. It is decidedly too big. I am still going to finish it just because I know that if I frog it to knit the smaller size I will never knit the sweater. I am so sick of this sweater. But I am almost done with the body so not much further to go. The upper part looked like it might actually fit so I may try my hand on steaking up the sides (*gasp*) and then seaming them to fit. Its a wool sweater so it should work. Gah. I don't know.
  2. Jaywalker- So I haven't frogged it yet. I like the way that it looks now that I look at it again, I just can't bear to pick it up again yet. So the sock is in my sock bag on hold for a while and once the sweater of doom is done I will try it again.
  3. Tank for phia- made out of Brown Sheep company's Cotton Fleece, it is almost finished. I am to the split for front and back. So really not much left.
  4. One skein shawl- This is made out of Koigu that i bought at personal threads. I am using smaller needles so I know that I will need more than one skein (which is what I am hoping) I am just going to knit on it until it is big enough.

Last night I got the sewing bug bit me and I made a purse from the tutorial from Tiny Happy. The tutorial was awesome and i love the bag. There are a few things that i will do differently next time, Yes there will be a next time, but overall I love it. Next up for the ol' machine? An organizer for the kitchen. A catchall for each kidlet. a la this one. Only instead of paper folders I will be using material. More colorful that way.

Pictures tomorrow. Today is too nice to stay here.
